Educational Mission

I am dedicated to applying relevant facets of my educational experience into teaching and learning support. I am very interested in using research and effective pedagogical methods and instructional design and development principles in order to maximize the effectiveness of Science Instruction for non-science majors.

Research Interests:
1. Evaluate the effectiveness of web-based technologies in instruction at the college level. Describe possible advantages for:

a. cross-curriculum integration
b. teaching students with a range of educational levels
c. teaching students with varying educational needs (especially differing educational majors)
d. providing individualized instruction in support of a more traditional large group classroom
e. addressing student and faculty communication needs and requirements
2. Development of an instructional design model that allows faculty without web training to implement a web-based supplemental curriculum.
