First Math Lesson Plan Directions
DRAFT DUE: February 21, 2011
FINAL DUE: March 3, 2011
Value: 10% of your total grade
Note: Most of this activity will be done in class.
1.
Work with your group to
understand the alternative algorithm you have been assigned.
2.
Teach your alternative
algorithm to another group via jigsaw.
3.
With a partner and using the departmental lesson plan template, create a
DRAFT lesson plan to teach or introduce the alternative algorithm to third or
fourth grade children.
4. Upload your completed draft lesson plan to eLearning by Monday, February 21, 2011 at mindnight.
5.
Andrea will send you back
comments on your draft by Tuesday, February 22, 2011.
6.
Revise your lesson plan
based on these comments ON YOUR OWN.
7.
Submit a final version of your lesson plan via eLearning on Wednesday, March 3, 2011 by midnight.
Grading will follow the rubric below:

A "D" paper will have significant problems and will require a meeting with the instructor.
