Other tent caterpillars (Malacosoma spp.)
(Lasiocampidae)

There are six species of Malacosoma in the Americas and twenty species in Eurasia.  Aside from M. americanum, M. disstira, and M. neustrium the social behavior of these species is largely unknown.
